Oppland

Oppland county has a population of 184,000 and is landlocked like its neighboring county to the east, Hedmark. Lillehammer, the capital, and Gjøvik are the largest towns in Oppland.

The county consists of broad farmland and Norways largest lake, Lake Mjøsa, in the south to the Rondane, Dovre and Jotunheimen mountain ranges in the north.

Gudbrandsdalen is the longest valley in Oppland county and meets with Lake Mjøsa near Lillehammer
